Types of Teams

Novice - A novice cheer routine is one minutes and thirty seconds. The routine is being judged, but instead of placements, teams earn a rating. The three ratings are Outstanding, Excellent, and Superior. Novice is the ideal introduction to the sport. Radiance All Stars holds all teams to the same commitment, attendance, and expectation.

Prep - A prep routine is two minutes. These routines incorporate the full skill set of an all star routine, but allows for variation in difficulty. Prep teams compete only one day at events, even if it is a two day event. Radiance All Stars holds all teams to the same commitment, attendance, and expectation.

Elite - An elite cheer routine is two minutes and thirty seconds. Elite teams incorporate the full skill set of the level. Elite teams demonstrate mastery of the level and full understanding of the sport. Radiance All Stars holds all teams to the same commitment, attendance, and expectation.

D1 vs. D2

D1 and D2 designation is determined by the number of athletes on elite teams in the program. D1 programs have more than 125 athletes on elite teams, while D2 programs have 125 or fewer athletes on elite teams.

NEW END OF YEAR EVENT IN 26-27

In 26-27, we will transition from a D2 program to a D1 program. In doing so, our junior and senior aged elite teams will attend The Summit. Our youth elite teams will attend Youth Summit. Our novice, prep, and mini aged elite teams will attend The Celebration.
